Young artist Jose Vergara, known as Redosking, hails from South Texas and has gained recognition for his stunning series of hyper-realistic eye drawings. Using a blend of colored pencils and pens, Vergara meticulously captures the intricate details of eyes, skillfully rendering each lash and pore with striking precision.
The series, initiated as a tribute to his parents, commenced with a captivating portrayal of his mother’s eye in November, followed by a touching rendition of his father’s eye in December. Crafting each piece demands an extensive 20 hours of unwavering dedication, with Vergara emphasizing the virtues of patience and persistent practice as fundamental in achieving such lifelike renditions.
Originally from Mexico City and raised in Madrid, Spain, Vergara’s artistic journey took a defining turn after a childhood accident nearly jeopardized his hand, compelling him to earnestly pursue the path of artistry.
