In the most recent update on Thursday, the total liquid foreign reserves of the country reached a standing figure of US$12.5355 billion. However, within the same period, the central bank, as reported by Xplore Pakistan, held reserves amounting to $7,396.7 million, marking a noteworthy decline.
The State Bank of Pakistan released an official statement addressing this development, highlighting that SBP’s reserves experienced a $115 million decrease, specifically attributing this decline to debt repayments within the week that concluded on November 11, 2023.
